The Rusty Nail

The Rusty Nail Nite Club was opened by Joe T. Leal in 1967 at 446 East Sandusky Street. The club featured live bands with many different music genres, but often had local bands playing. In 1969, Ken Thompson took over running the club. It was sold in 1971 to Ed Rettig, and closed in 1972 after the city refused to grant a liquor license to the establishment after several infractions of selling to underage kids.
