About the event

Join us for a night of adventure at theĀ Bill & Gail Miller Outdoor Classic Movie NightĀ onĀ August 16thĀ at the Hancock Historical Museum! This year, we're thrilled to present the beloved classicĀ The GooniesĀ (1985), a film that has captured the hearts of generations with its thrilling treasure hunt and unforgettable characters.


The festivities kick off atĀ 7 PM, where you can enjoy a variety of exciting activities, including aĀ treasure scavenger hunt, delicious treats from Ian's Donuts, and aĀ costume contestĀ that invites everyone to dress up as their favorite character from the film. We are also honored to welcomeĀ John KingĀ from the BGSU Pop Culture Library, who will share insights into the film's cultural impact.

As the sun sets, gather your friends and family for the main event! The movie will start atĀ 8:30 PM, so bring your blankets and lawn chairs for a cozy outdoor viewing experience.
