Enlighten your lunch hour! Join us for "George Armstrong Custer and the Demise of the 7th Cavalry at the Battle of the Little Bighorn" presented by Dwayne Beggs at 12 p.m. Thursday, May 1.
On June 25th, 1876 George Armstrong Custer led 200+ soldiers in an attack on members of the Sioux and Cheyenne tribes. Custer had been tasked with finding these tribes, who were labeled as hostile, and returning them to their respective reservations. Believing his force to be superior Custer attacked the Native Americans engaging in a fight for his life-as well as for the lives of the men in the 7th Cavalry.
