About the event
On July 4, 2026, the Hancock Historical Museum will host "America's Birthday Bash", a free, community-wide celebration marking the 250th anniversary of American independence. This one-time event will transform our traditional Ice Cream Social into a vibrant, inclusive "birthday party for America", featuring:
Free Dietsch's ice cream, root beer floats, and birthday cake for all!
Expanded hours and programming: live music, patriotic crafts, games, and interactive history experiences
Community birthday sing-along and ceremonial cake cutting
Open museum access and outdoor festivities welcoming all ages and backgrounds
